Invisalign

Cosmetic dentistry is booming in popularity. Everyone is looking for a perfectly straight, white smile — but where do you turn if you don’t want to wear traditional metal braces for years?

What is Invisalign?

Thankfully, dental technology has advanced considerably over the years and Tooth Doctor is happy to provide Invisalign — the perfect teeth-straightening solution. These clear aligners can correct crooked and misaligned teeth with unparalleled comfort and convenience.

Why Book Invisalign Treatment at Tooth Doctor?

Many dentists provide Invisalign, but you deserve a dentist who is experienced, confident and qualified. At Tooth Doctor, we offer the very best treatment in a friendly, professional and hygienic environment.

What Is Invisalign?

Invisalign is the most advanced, innovative clear aligner system in the world. The result of over 20 years of clinical research, no other clear aligner is backed by the data and experience of 5 million cases.

Invisalign uses removable teeth aligners that are virtually invisible and individually tailored to your teeth. These hidden, removable braces straighten your teeth over time without the pain and inconvenience associated with wires and brackets.

With Invisalign, you can achieve the perfect smile without compromising your lifestyle or looks.

What are Invisalign clear aligners made of and what do they look like?

Invisalign clear aligners are made of flexible plastic — specifically, a patented thermoplastic material called SmartTrack® created exclusively for Invisalign treatment.

Invisalign clear aligners are FDA-approved and contain no BPA, BPS, latex, or gluten. They are thin, clear, and fit snugly over your teeth, making them virtually invisible.

What should I expect during my consultation?

During your consultation, your dentist will discuss your teeth-straightening goals with you and examine your smile in order to determine your specific needs. Your dentist may also talk to you about how quickly you can reach your new smile, as well as treatment cost.

Your dentist will most likely recommend scheduling a dental checkup and cleaning before you begin Invisalign treatment to make sure your teeth and gums are in top health and to avoid unnecessary risks.

How Long Does Invisalign Take?

We can’t say for certain how long your Invisalign treatment will take — the length of time you’ll need to wear your aligners will vary depending on you and your dental needs.

You’ll likely be wearing your clear aligners for up to a year and a half. Your dentist will tell you what to expect in your initial consultation and will also keep you updated as the treatment progresses.

How Does Invisalign Work?

Invisalign works by slowly shifting your teeth into perfect alignment, step by step. The aligners put enough pressure on your teeth to slowly shift them into the desired position without causing you any pain. Every few weeks, you will be given a new set of aligners to further move your teeth little by little.

Will I need to wear a retainer after treatment to prevent my teeth from moving again?

Most doctors recommend that anyone who has completed orthodontic treatment, whether with braces or Invisalign treatment, use a retainer to prevent teeth from gradually shifting back toward their initial position. Every case is different, so ask your doctor if you need retainers.

What’s the best way to clean my aligners?

The best way to clean your aligners is to use the Invisalign Cleaning System, available from your doctor. You can also brush them with a toothbrush and toothpaste and rinse them in lukewarm water. Never use hot water on your aligners — it could permanently warp the plastic.

5 Simple Steps to a Straight Smile

1

Free Invisalign Consultation

At Tooth Doctor, we offer free Invisalign consultations, during which one of our professional and experienced dentists will check that Invisalign is the right treatment for you.

We will walk you through what to expect from the treatment and answer any questions you may have.

2

Taking Impressions of Your Teeth

To custom-build your aligners, we’ll need to take impressions of your teeth. Rather than use a traditional uncomfortable mould, we’ll take 3D images of your teeth with a quick scan.

The process is entirely comfortable and non-invasive.

3

Customised Treatment Plan

Using the 3D images of your teeth, we’ll create a customised treatment plan for you. Advanced computer programs allow us to plan each movement required to move your teeth into alignment.

We then custom-build your aligners — each one designed to adjust your teeth over time with minimal discomfort.

4

Start Wearing Your Aligners

Once your aligners have been made, we’ll show you how to put them in and take them out. You’ll need to change your aligners every one to two weeks.

Each aligner will slowly move your teeth closer to their desired position until you have a beautifully straight smile.

5

Enjoy Your New Smile

Invisalign treatment can take up to 18 months, but the exact amount of time you’ll need to wear the aligners for will depend on your case, as every smile is different.

One thing, however, is guaranteed: once you finish your Invisalign treatment, you’ll have a beautiful new smile you’ll love to show off.
